Since the company was founded in 1951, the WAGO Kontakttechnik GmbH & Co. KG site in Minden has been continuously expanded. With the construction of the new Communication Centre in 2016, the company has once again given its headquarters a new look.
The customer and training centre not only features 250 modern workstations, but also numerous meeting rooms spread across three floors, offering a versatile working environment for both small and large groups. In addition, the Communication Centre houses a staff canteen serving regional cuisine, with direct access to a spacious outdoor area. The light-filled building is not only used for meetings, workshops and presentations, but is also available for festive occasions and client events.
When planning the lighting, the focus was on long-lasting LED technology, low maintenance requirements and lighting control tailored to specific needs. LED luminaires are used in the large reception hall, the staff canteen and the lounge areas. The lighting control system takes natural daylight into account and adjusts the lighting to suit the conditions in each room. The lighting concept for the training and event rooms was implemented using, amongst other things, luminaires from Lightnet’s Cubic and Caleo ranges. In the staff canteen, pendant luminaires from the Basic range complement the lighting concept and blend harmoniously into the overall design.
