Since the company was founded in 1951, the WAGO Kontakttechnik GmbH & Co. KG campus in Minden has been continuously expanded. With the construction of the new Communication Center in 2016, the company has once again given its headquarters a fresh new look.
The customer and training center not only features 250 modern workstations but also numerous meeting rooms that offer a versatile work environment for both small and large groups across three floors. In addition, the Communication Center houses a company cafeteria serving regional cuisine and featuring direct access to a spacious outdoor area. The light-filled building is not only used for meetings, workshops, and presentations but is also available for festive occasions and customer events.
When planning the lighting, the focus was on long-lasting LED technology, low maintenance requirements, and lighting control tailored to specific needs. LED fixtures are used in the large reception hall, the company cafeteria, and the lounge areas. The lighting control system takes natural daylight into account and adjusts the lighting to suit the conditions in each room. The lighting concept for the training and event rooms was implemented using, among other things, luminaires from Lightnet’s Cubic and Caleo series. In the employee cafeteria, pendant luminaires from the Basic series complement the lighting concept and blend harmoniously into the overall design.
