Inspiration meets flexibility Basic luminaires illuminate creative meeting spaces

Our working world has changed profoundly. Rigid hierarchies are increasingly being replaced by creative meeting spaces. Modern office designs such as the flex office promote agility through their quality of stay and interaction. The company Orbiz offers these office and working environments at various locations in Switzerland, which can be dynamically adapted to different business needs.

Drawing inspiration from science fiction films of the 1970s, the architects at OOS created the ORBIZ flex office at the Josefstrasse location in Zurich. The aim was to break down existing structures and create an open, brand-strong identity for the customer – as a distinguished place to work and meet. On the ground floor, a café with restaurant facilities and workshop and event areas characterise the spatial feel: during the day, there is a lively atmosphere, while at night it becomes a bar. On the upper floors, circular core zones and flowing transitions form a flexible layout with individual workstations, plug-and-play areas and meeting rooms.

Our partner Mabalux played a leading role in the lighting design, setting accents and creating a futuristic atmosphere with luminaires from our Basic series. The power of the design lies in its form. Circular in shape and with a delicate height, they not only provide homogeneous general lighting. Their quiet elegance integrates effortlessly into the interior design and emphasises it.
