Craftsmanship in the perfect light Ringo Star and Midpoint spots create a differentiated lighting landscape

Japanese luxury watch manufacturer Grand Seiko has moved into its new boutique in Melbourne. It reflects the brand's values of precision, craftsmanship and aesthetics, with timepieces that are still handmade in Japan today.

The premises, designed by Perry Fung Architects and Nicom Interiors, extend over three levels in the listed The Block Arcade. The historic building, with its incomparable 19th-century architecture, provides the perfect stage for Grand Seiko. The gentle, curving lines of the interior design are accentuated by a soft colour scheme of white, beige and brown with connecting elements made of wood.

The entrance area is also the heart of the shop: it attracts visitors, welcomes them and displays highlights from the range in showcases. This area is also visible from the outside thanks to our graceful Ringo Star luminaire. The pendant luminaire in brilliant white, together with spotlights from the Midpoint series, strikes a balance between uniform basic lighting and focus. Both series are characterised by a minimalist design language and technical finesse. This creates a differentiated lighting landscape across all levels, providing orientation and effectively showcasing products. We would like to thank our partner LPA for their cooperation.
