This innovative company is one of the world's leading suppliers of heating and cooling technology. Danfoss' new LEIQ building complex in Offenbach continues this creative spirit and is one of the first completely CO₂-neutral office buildings in Germany. The ‘positive energy’ of this concept was transferred by brandherm + krumrey to the design of the company catering facilities. The result is an open-plan space with cosy meeting places for employees and guests to interact. The inspiration for the design concept is ‘from cold to warm’. The central counter has a cool, technical look with blue tones, stainless steel and tiles. Towards the seating areas, the design becomes warmer – with oak wood on the walls and calm materials. Red light strips from our Liquid Line series on the ceiling pick up the company colour. In the adjacent lounge, walnut, orange upholstered furniture and wooden lights are reminiscent of Danfoss' Scandinavian roots.
The pendant luminaires from Liquid Line were produced in a special colour specifically for this project. As freely suspended lines of light, they form a meandering sculpture across the ceiling. They mark out zones, guide visitors through the space and contribute to uniform illumination. The length, radius, light distribution and colour tone were coordinated with the architectural concept – an example of the versatile adaptability of our systems. Liquid Line thus becomes an integral part of the design and a functional tool for organising the space.
By the way, this project is also featured in the Callwey Verlag yearbook ‘Die schönsten Restaurants, Hotels & Bars’ (The Most Beautiful Restaurants, Hotels & Bars).
