The Bei Wurzeltraut restaurant is located in the heart of Switzerland, on the Wirzweli plateau in the Engelberg Valley. Surrounded by alpine scenery, the renovated restaurant was designed by the interior designers at Beck Konzept to be a place of tranquillity and enjoyment. The cosy dining room thrives on the interplay of green tones on the walls and furniture with warm wood and the round lighting accents of the Ringo Star luminaires.
Our Swiss partner Mabalux chose the almost weightless pendant luminaires in matt black. The circles of light form a calm visual plane under the ceiling and are deliberately in harmony with the alpine architecture. The uniform, glare-free light ensures balanced illumination of the tables and supports a relaxed atmosphere. The result is a delicate balance between romantic mountain scenery and contemporary design.
In gastronomy in particular, light shapes the perception of space, materials and atmosphere. Carefully used lighting creates orientation, enhances the quality of the experience and makes enjoyment tangible.
