Houses of worship have always been places of tranquillity, comfort and dignity. When remodelling, it is important to preserve these attributes and at the same time bring them into the modern age. The renovation of the Adelbergkirche church in Rheinfelden achieved this brilliantly. Architect Christoph Geisel combined existing features such as the charming mosaic windows and cosy wooden elements with impressive lighting, which was planned by Alexander Bürkle GmbH.
The listed church is thus given a new meaning: Pastor Armin Stenzl, pastor of the Old Catholic parish of Hochrhein-Wiesental, says:
"I personally like the new lighting concept very much because all the lights can be switched and dimmed individually, the light strip on the frieze can shine in all possible colours, as can the ring of luminaires above the altar, which in my view is the highlight of the concept that spotlights the central place of the church, the altar!".
We are delighted that this highlight is our Ringo Star luminaire. Thanks to the series' maximum design freedom, Alexander Bürkle's lighting designers created an all-round brilliant luminaire ring with a diameter of three metres, which is equipped with 3000K in the direct component and RGB-W in the indirect component and was custom-made by Lightnet. Complemented by Casambi modules and accent lighting, moods can be created to suit liturgical or seasonal requirements. Casambi also gives the congregation the opportunity to customise the room to suit church services and events with targeted lighting scenes using a tablet and permanently installed buttons.
