The concept store in Balingen in southern Baden-Württemberg combines fashion, design, and gastronomy in an open-plan space. The team at Konrad Knoblauch GmbH translated the design concept into an interior design that emphasizes materiality and atmosphere. Across approximately 800 square meters, rough concrete and metal surfaces interact with warm colors and soft lighting. This creates an atmosphere that balances industrial clarity with cozy lightness.
Open installations and translucent elements lend the structure depth and permeability. In collaboration with vonmalm licht+gestaltung, gold-colored islands of light add subtle accents and a warm dimension to the robust material context: arranged behind fine chain curtains, the ring-shaped Ringo Star luminaires structure the space and connect the bar, lounge, and sales areas into a coherent composition. Their uniform light emphasizes materials and shapes and complements the architectural order of the store.
