The Lightnet Concept Luminaires that delight
Lightnet is a specialist in professional building illumination. More than 350 members of staff at 5 locations pursue the goal daily of inspiring Lightnet customers with aesthetic, functional and energy-efficient luminaires. With over 16,000 square metres of production area, we develop and produce a
wide spectrum of high-quality luminaires for highly diverse applications. Experience gathered over many years allows us to recognise the individual demands of architecture and translate them into lighting solutions with the help of our extensive manufacturing possibilities – both in large and small
Essential Secrets of our success
Our product range is characterized by a systematic and a convertible variety of shapes and enables high degrees of freedom for the creative lighting design. Although our product families have a different design vocabulary all is based on and overall stringent programme with a consistent concept. Shapes, proportions, surfaces, optics, and color temperature are exactly coordinated so that for any architectural requirement the most suitable product combination can be choosen.
Research & innovationProcess progress
To be up-to-date is not enough for us. Our urge for innovation drives us. Based on an intensive market analysis and trend research combined with interdisciplinary thinking we keep expanding our range and our service.
Manufactoring Experts at work
Physicists, lighting technicians, product designers in coordination with engineers, electronics technicians and product technologist accompany the complex development process – each one of them with their specific know-how. Lightnet has its own In-house laboratory, a goniophotometer, an ulbrichts sphere and additional measuring devices to enable an individual development process.
Lightnet on Tour Trade fairs and exhibitions
Milan Design Week 2018 Vitra Typecasting
During this year’s Milan Design Week, Vitra presented a large installation "Typecasting. An Assembly of Iconic, Forgotten and New Vitra Characters" in the former sports arena La Pelota. The exhibition was curated by the designer Robert Stadler. Our luminaires are also part of the presentation and put everything in the right light.
LFI 2018 Chicago Light Style
The LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI®) 2018 ended on May 10th, again as a great success. As one of the world's largest annual trade fairs for architecture and commercial lighting, LFI attracted visitors from all across America to Chicago this year. For the fourth year, we have been able to introduce you to our new products and innovations.
Orgatec 2018 Cologne Calling
It was an exciting time at the exhibit, showing you our innovative systems: lighting system Cubic Evolution, the new optical system microlens for Matric, the flexible lighting system Liquid Line 3D and a lot of more news.
Team One Team, many lights
The challenge of making the perfect interaction of light and architecture comes alive through our approach of a completely appropriate lighting solution. As a multidisciplinary team we are united by the fascination for the immaterial building matter
light: physicists, lighting technicians and product designers accompany the complex development process in close coordination with design engineers, electronic technicians production technologists and software developer – each with his/her own
specific technical knowhow. Our development and production departments work closely together with our Cologne sales and technical support team in order to understand and to realize individual client requests at best.
