Joom

Bright, open offices, relaxation islands with lounging areas, hobby rooms and even a music room - what sounds like an employee's dream is located in the new headquarters of the shopping platform Joom.

The basic idea of the new office concept was to adapt the rooms to the dynamic and informal working atmosphere as well as the self-determined working hours of the shopping platform's approximately 200 employees. The architectural office V12, which was entrusted with the conversion, therefore decided on an open layout of the premises - complemented by extravagant design elements. For example, the rooms are interspersed with structures reminiscent of a city silhouette. Open partition walls are modelled on the shape of rows of houses.

An important element of the office design is also the lighting. The computer workstations were equipped with the Basic series from Lightnet. The round luminaire head visually matches the sound absorbers used above the workstations. In addition, spotlights from the Midpoint series - in straight and curved aluminium profiles - are located at prominent positions in the room. In the reception area, for example, the spotlights illuminate suspended clouds formed from nets, which supports the airy character of the rooms.
