Cabrini Hospital, Gandel Wing Malvern, Australia

The Gandel Wing of the Cabrini Hospital in Malvern, Australia has been awarded a Commendation for Public Design in the Australian Interior Design Awards 2020 and won an Award for Architecture at the 2020 Victorian Architecture Awards from the Australian Institute of Architects. We are proud to have been involved in this great project!
Opened in July 2019, the Gandel Wing at Cabrini Hospital Malvern in Melbourne redefines hospital accommodation and treatment rooms. The interior design of the hospital ward is not characterised by a sterile and cold environment, but creates comfortable and quiet rooms for health and well-being.

Hospital lighting is a particular focal point. It strikes the right balance to create a functional and effective workplace for staff and a pleasant ambience and experience for patients and visitors alike.

For example, recessed luminaires from Lightnet's Liquid Line series have been used throughout the whole building. The curved shape of the luminaire integrates seamlessly into the ceiling and provides directional lighting in the corridors and open areas of the clinic.
