University Hospital of Cologne Centre for Integrated Oncology

Together against cancer - together for life: Every year, around 24,000 cancer patients are treated at the University Hospital of Cologne. They are all cared for at the Centre for Integrated Oncology - CIO for short - the largest outpatient clinic for cancer patients in Germany. The lighting concept for the CIO, designed by Dorette Faulhaber and Corinna Arens, creates a harmonious balance between functional lighting for staff on the one hand and pleasant shapes and clear guidance through the premises for patients and visitors on the other. The Basic M4, for example, blends seamlessly into the ceiling and creates a pleasant ambience with its round shape, while the Matric M5 provides directional lighting in the corridors.
